Happy Birthday To You

OK, final rehersal time. Birthday party tomorrow and I have a set to practice. Audience participation is compulsory, anyone seen not joining in with the singing and dancing will not get a party bag at the end.

OK, first song at a Birthday party is the obvious, so let's all wish Abigail a happy birthday:

Ok kids, we're all here for Abigail's birthday, but did you all know that animals have birthdays too? Who would like to sing Happy Birthday they way animals do? You all do? That's great! All you have to do is listen to this song, and you have to pretend to be the animal we sing about when I tell you. Easy!

Now the Cat had a birthday, and all the cat's came
To sing Cat songs, and play cat games
They gave cat presents and when they were through
They sang happy birthday the way cats do
(ready kids, your turn!)

Come on all, pretend to be a cat now

Really nothing to it now

(Repeat with cow, duck, dog etc)

OK, who's ever been on a bear hunt? No one!! Who wants to go on a bear hunt?
OK, repeat after me:

We're going on a bear hunt

Pistols by our side

We come to some tall grass
can't go over it

can't go around it
we'll have to go through it

(swish through that long grass)

reapeat with: we come to a swamp (squelch squelch), we come to Tesco's (excuse me, excuse me using elbows), swimming pool (splash, splash). Then:
We come to a cave
It's dark inside
Can't see a thing
hands out to feel
something warm
something furry
AHHHHHHHH -It's a bear!!

(then run through the above in reverse, quickly!!)
