Brighter, Happier.

The sun shone all week I was off. My little girl is not so little any more, as we saw her 3rd birthday come and go. Did time go this fast when we were kids? Can't believe she is 3.
And she spent her birthday party wearing out every member of the family. She started by dragging me around the park for 2 hours (whilst Cathy got the food ready), then dragged poor Grandma, Grandad and Grandad Bob (my dad) round the garden with equal vigour. She never stopped running, bouncing (castle or trampoline) or general trampling over every inch of the garden.
She even brought me and mummy some flowers from the garden. They were actually Dandelions, but what do we care!

Work was far from my mind (until today) and I couldn't have picked a nicer week to have off. Now, when's the next one?

Enjoyed the blogger tourny again last night despite being picked on mercilessly by the Rottie, who hadn't forgotten my flush from 2 weeks previously. Another lady who never forgets ;-).
The last tourny was summed up in 2 hands, and this was no different. My pocket 4's hit another on the flop to win me a 650$ pot early on, and after briefly leading the field didn't hit another hand till i had 800 chips left and decided that A4 was about the best I was going to get and pushed all in. Got a caller with K10 and the 10 on the flop about summed things up as far as poker goes at the moment.
Not played too much this week with being off and preparing for Mia's birthday and party, so at least my bad run hasn't continued. Managed to squeeze in the United semi final and was chuffed to see them make the final for about the 100th time in their history.
The referee then did everything possible in the Chelsea game to ensure the FA got their dream final for Wembley's first Cup Final. Could be an interesting 2 weeks with the possibility of Man United playing against Chelsea 3 times - one for the FA Cup Final, one for the Champions League Final and then for the Premiership. and if United win 2 of those, it will be 2 more than I thought they would win this season!
My 'other' club, Altrincham FC, continue to struggle against relegation from the Conference and currently sit 2 points off the drop zone having played more games than some of their rivals. Going to be a nervous finish for Alty.

Anyway, off to the tables to see how lady luck treats me - good luck with yours.
