Just Sick

10/20c NL table

Dealt KK, raise before me, I reriase 3 x his bet he calls. Low flop so I push all in, he calls and shows QQ.
Guess the Rver?
-50$

2 hands later.
AK on the button, raise it to 3$ (very fishy table)
2 callers
Flop Ah Kh 5s
I bet 20$ - 1 calls 10$ and is all in, the other flat calls
Turn is 9c
I push all in for my remaining 25$ or so
Other player calls
River is..... want to guess?

Yep - a heart,

Player turns over AQ
Other player 3h 4h
All those bets with 3 4 (same player with QQ) and he wins against AK and AQ.

- another 50$

Next hand
66, i flat call.

flop 6 K 7, I check, bet before me and I re-raise to 8 x his bet. He calls!!
turn is x and I push all in, he calls!

River is a 9.

Guess what Mr QQ/ 43 had this time?

Pocket 9's

- another 50$

Last night I lost with 7 full houses in less than 100 hands. The odds of hitting this many are remote, let alone losing with them all.

I know these things happen, but so often? Poker Office now has AK and AQ against 2 random cards (non paired) as a huge underdog. Answers on a postcard please.
Well, I'm starting to believe this may not be quite fair.

Looks like it's the casino from now on.

Same old, Same old

Britblogger Tourny can be summed up in two hands for me. My 99 standing up against AK, then my QQ running into AA. That was it, think I was dealt into about 10 hands. The only positive thing I can say is that I wasn't last (thanks Acorn!). I hung around for a bit after, but I just don't have the enthusiasm for the game at the moment. Wel done to Miami Mark for winning 2nd time in 3 (does he have a blog?).

I'm on a bad losing streak at the moment and can't put my finger on what is going wrong. I'm not playing trash, my VPIP % is low, along with flops seen. In fact, after looking at my hand history for some time last night, all losing hands over 2$ I was favourite when the money went in just over 80% of the time. Seems like if you flop 2 pair online, and there is a possible str8 or flush on the table - it will hit the river a huge proportion of the time.
The bulk of the other 20% I was behind, but in understandable circumstances (my flopped set v a flopped str8, or 2 pair v a set etc etc). Not sure what I can do in these circumstances, as I feel I've done the right thing almost every time.
Anyway, it's back to micro limits for a while (10/20c tables) till I re-find my form or luck. Speaking of micro limits, I've added a link to a blog I just found - Micro Limit Donkey - he's a Leeds fan, but don't hold that against him!! Stop by and have a read when you have a minute.

Looking forward to the week ahead off the tables - I'm off!! It's my dads birthday today, Mia's 3rd birthday tomorrow - and then her party on Sunday. Sandwiched in between is our first night away from Mia together. I've booked us a night at a country estate/hotel type place on Friday night and Mia is staying with Grandparents. I've stayed away and so has Cathy, but never both together, and Cathy is already getting nervous!
The party preparations are in full swing, I'll be erecting a marquee tent in the garden, putting up the bouncy castle and general tidying up of the garden for the next week, then preparing the food as we get closer. I think we have about 30 people round for the afternoon, so hopefully this nice weather will hold up.

Nice to see Altrincham put in a thumping 5-1 win away at St Albans, and pull about 5 points clear of the relegation zone in the conference. It's still pretty close down there, and with many teams with games in hand, it's going to be a close run finish. United lost away at Portsmounth, and confirmed my suspicions that they will falter and allow Chelsea to win the title. I don't think Chelsea will drop points for the rest of the season, with the exception of the United game, which I think will end up level. If this is the case, United can afford to lose one more game and still pip Chelsea to the title, assuming Chelsea don't claw back the massive goal difference. Another close run finish - and at least it's pretty close at the top this season, and that's not happened for a while.

Anway, I'm off to make Mia's lunch - enjoy the rest of the bank holiday.
